How To Program Weathermatic Controller

How to program your Weathermatic Proline sprinkler system timer the easy way.

In this step by step guide we’ll walk you through setting up your Weathermatic Proline controller. We’ll go through everything you need to know to get your sprinklers running automatically.

Date & Time: The first step is getting your date and time set up.

  • Flip the knob over to “Current Time/Date
  • Use the “Up” and “Down” arrows to change the values, use the “NEXT” button to press enter and go to the next value.
  • This will take you through the time, date, month, and year.
  • After you adjust your time and flip over, it should save your input.

Start Times: This setting determines what time your sprinklers come on. The Proline has 3-6 start times you can set up for one day. If you use multiple programs we recommend not using the same start time for more than one.

  • Flip the knob to “Program Start Times
  • Use the “Up” and “Down” arrows to adjust the start time.
  • Press “Next” to move you through the other programs to adjust their start times as well, make sure they’re off unless you want them on.
  • To turn a program off, adjust the time before midnight. There you will see “OFF”. This means that program is off.

Run Times: This programs how long each zone will water your lawn.

  • Flip the knob to “Zone Run Times” starting with zone one.
  • Use the “Up” and “Down” signs to adjust the run time for each zone.
  • Press “Next” to move through each zone and adjust the time, if you don’t want it to run turn the time down to 0:00.
  • You can have different run times for each zone, customize it suitable for your lawns needs.

Water Days: This is where we set up what days we want to water. Also, why it was necessary to set up the date and time. Without that, our watering days could be off.

  • Flip over to “Days To Water”.
  • Press the”Up” arrow to add days of the week you’d like to water. You’ll see it say ON next to the day if you are watering.
  • Press “—” arrow on everyday that you don’t want to water. You’ll see it say OFF if you aren’t watering.
  • Press the “Next” button to cycle through the different week days.
  • Days you aren’t watering will disappear from the top of the screen, so you’re only left seeing the days you are watering.
  • Flip the knob to “Run”

That’s it! Your Weathermatic Proline sprinkler system is fully programmed and will run automatically now. Sit back and relax.
