In this step by step guide we’ll walk you through setting up your Toro TMC-212 controller. We’ll go through everything you need to know to get your sprinklers running automatically.

Date & Time: The first step is getting your date and time set up.

  • Flip the knob over to “Current Time/Day”
  • Use the “+” and “—” arrows to change the values, use the “NEXT” button to press enter and go to the next value.
  • This will take you through the time, date, month, and year.
  • Click next to select a 12 or 24 hour clock.
  • After you adjust your time and flip over, it should save your input.

Water Days: This is where we set up what days we want to water. Also, why it was necessary to set up the date and time. Without that, our watering days could be off.

This timer has ODD, EVEN, Calendar, and Interval watering options.

Odd and even options doesn’t allow any changes. Calendar allows you to choose which days you water. Interval is watering every 1-7 days. We’ll talk about the CAL (Calendar) option.

  • Flip over to “Watering Days”.
  • Press the “+” to cycle between the different watering options until you see “CAL”, click “Next” to stop the blinking.
  • Press the”+” to add days of the week you’d like to water. You’ll see them add to the screen if you are watering.
  • Press “—” arrow on everyday that you don’t want to water. You’ll see them come off the screen if you aren’t watering.
How To Program Toro TMC-212 Controller - Lawn Sense

Start Times: This setting determines what time your sprinklers come on. The Toro TMC-212 has three start times you can set up for one day. If you use multiple programs we recommend not using the same start time for more than one.

  • Flip the knob to “Start Times”
  • Use the “+” and “—” signs to adjust the start time.
  • Press “Next” to move you through the other programs to adjust their start times as well, make sure they’re off unless you want them on.
  • To turn a program off, adjust the time before midnight. There you will see “OFF”. This means that program is off.

Run Times: This programs how long each zone will water your lawn.

  • Flip the knob to “Station Times” starting with zone one.
  • Use the “+” and “—” signs to adjust the run time for each zone.
  • Press “Next” to move through each zone and adjust the time, if you don’t want it to run turn the time down to 0:00.
  • You can have different run times for each zone, customize it suitable for your lawns needs.
  • Flip the knob to “Run”

In this step by step guide we’ll walk you through setting up your RainBird Si series controller. We’ll go through everything you need to know to get your sprinklers running automatically.

Date & Time: The first step is getting your date and time set up. This is an old timer that doesn’t work off a calendar. Rather, just off a 7 day week.

  • Flip the knob over to “Day”
  • Use the “Up” and “Down” arrows to pick which day you are on.
  • Once done flip the knob to hour, and repeat to minutes.
  • After you adjust your time and flip over, it should save your input.
  • Flip to “Auto” to verify

Start Times: This setting determines what time your sprinklers come on. The RainBird Si has three start times you can set up for one day. If you use multiple programs we recommend not using the same start time for more than one.

  • Flip the knob to “Watering Start Times”
  • Select the number 1 as your first start time option.
  • Use the “Up” and “Down” signs to adjust the start time.
  • Check the other start times to make sure they aren’t on if you don’t mean them to be.
  • To turn a program off, adjust the time past midnight. There you will see a blank screen. This means that program is off.

*Note: At the bottom of the panel there is a schedule selector switch. Be sure to move it over to “C” for custom. Otherwise your custom settings won’t work.

Note: The stations are divided by a selector switch and color coded. Zones 1-6 are on one side. To program 7-12 and beyond, you’ll need to move the selector switch over. Then repeat the process above.

In this step by step guide we’ll walk you through setting up your RainBird EC controller. We’ll go through everything you need to know to get your sprinklers running automatically.

Date & Time: The first step is getting your date and time set up. It should start with the year first.

  • Flip the knob over to “Date/Time”
  • Use the “+” and “—” arrows to adjust each time to where it needs to be.
  • After you adjust your time click the return or enter button.
  • It should automatically move you to the month, date, then time. Click the enter button after each entry.
  • Flip to “Day Cycle”

Day Cycle: This timer has the ability to water on even days, odd days and odd days with months with 31 calendar days. You can also limit the amount of days you want the system to water per week here. We recommend choosing 7 days per week in this setting and adjusting your days in another place.

  • Press the + button until you see the number 7. This indicates you may potentially water 7 days per week. But the days aren’t decided yet.
How To Program RainBird EC Controller - Lawn Sense

Water Days: This is where we set up what days we want to water. Also, why it was necessary to set up the date and time. Without that, our watering days could be off. The numbers represent each day. 1=Sunday

  • Flip over to “Water Days”.
  • Press the + sign on everyday that you want to water. You’ll see a square around the number of that day. This means you are watering, press enter.
  • Press the — sign on everyday that you don’t want to water. You’ll see nothing around the number if you aren’t watering, press enter.
  • Do this for every day of the week.

Start Times: This setting determines what time your sprinklers come on. The RainBird EC has four start times you can set up. If you use multiple programs we recommend not using the same start time for more than one.

  • Flip the knob to “Program Start Time”
  • Use the + and — signs to adjust the start time, press enter.
  • Check the other start times to make sure they aren’t on if you don’t mean them to be.
  • To turn a program off, adjust the time past midnight. There you will see three lines “- – -”. This means that program is off.

In this step by step guide we’ll walk you through setting up your RainBird SSTi Series controller. We’ll go through everything you need to know to get your sprinklers running automatically. One thing to remember, after you make a change to a setting it automatically saves.

This is a unique controller, the setup process is unlike any other. But we always start the same.

Date & Time: Always the first step in getting any sprinkler controller set up. This ensures your programs run at the correct time and right day of the week.

  • Flip over to “Set Clock”
  • Use the up and down arrows on the left to adjust your time.
  • Flip to “Set Date”
  • Use the left arrows to adjust the year.
  • Use the right arrows to adjust the month and day.

Setting up the zones: Here you sell set up the start time, days of the week it waters, and how many times it waters all at once. You’ll do this for each zone.

How To Program RainBird SSTi Controller - Lawn Sense

Important Note: Keep track of each zones start time and run time because the next zone cannot overlap. For example, if zone 1 starts at 12AM and runs for 15 minutes. Zone 2 cannot start until after 12:15AM.

  • Flip to Zone 1
  • Use the left arrows to set your start time.
  • Use the right arrows to set your run time. This will be how long that zone waters for.
  • Once that is set, we’ll move onto the watering days to the right side of the panel.
  • Click each day of the week you’d like to water. It also has an ODD and EVEN days function.
  • Finally, we’ll decide how many times per day we want that zone to water, or you can click zone OFF.
  • Repeat this process for each zone you have, and don’t let your run times over lap.
  • Flip the knob to “Auto”

That’s it! Your RainBird SSTi is fully programmed and will run automatically now. Sit back and relax.
